What is the MMURegistry?

The Office of Medical Marijuana is the department that manages the Florida marijuana program. Sometimes called the OMMU, the registry, MMURegistry or OMMUR is the Office of Medical Marijuana Use Registry.  The Florida OMMURegistry is where patients register to get their medical marijuana (or some call it a weed) card.  The doctor enters their recommendation into the OMMUR and the dispensaries can view it so you can buy marijuana in Florida.

The MMU Registry is the same place that you go to re-register your card each year, check out the MMURegistry at https://mmuregistry.flhealth.gov/

OMMU Approval - How do I know when I'm approved for a Medical Marijuana Card?

The days between when you apply with the state for OMMU Approval and when you are approved can be filled with anxiety and excitement.

Typically, if everything is correct, you should be approved in about 5 to 10 business days.  Don't count the weekend days.

Applicants that are rejected are typically notified first, in about 5 business days. Don't worry, you can re-submit once you've fixed the issue that will be identified for you on your denial.

In general, the MMUR Approval process is fast and easy.  CalmEffect is here to help you every step of the way.

How Do I Find Out if I'm Approved in Florida?

There are 2 ways to find out if you've obtained OMMU Approval for Florida medical marijuana use.

1) The state emails you to notify you after your application has been reviewed, they've accepted your payment, and you've been approved.  That email can sometimes land in the junk/spam folder and sometimes doesn't arrive at all.

2) Or, you can log in to your account at MMU Registry FL Health to check your account.

Is medical marijuana telemed still legal in Florida?

As of May 15, 2021, using telemedicine for recertifications is still legal in Florida. Governor Desantis signed it via the emergency order during the early days of COVID.  It's possible that it will be disallowed once the emergency order is lifted. We continue to monitor the OMMU to see if there are any changes.
