Medical Marijuana Delivery

Medical marijuana delivery – FINALLY!  Now with Amazon and other home delivery services, Brick and Mortar shops are becoming more and more obsolete as more and more people opt for the comfort and convenience that delivery services entails. That also happens to be true for the medical marijuana industry. Of course, there are several stationary dispensaries throughout the state of Florida that are operating daily, but for those who aren’t well enough to make a trip to one, the medical marijuana delivery option is great news.

Medical Marijuana Delivery Details

Delivery options are for low-THC strains and CBD products for the time being. This includes edibles, drops, caplets and vaporizers. At the beginning medical marijuana delivery was only available in select areas of Florida, starting with an area right outside of Tampa. However, with the growing demand, more and more agencies are getting legal clearance to cultivate and distribute, allowing for greater patient options when it comes to receiving medication to ease their discomfort due to illness or chronic pain.

Medical Marijuana Delivery Online Options

Initially the only way to receive delivery of medical marijuana was by a physician calling the prescription into the Compassionate Use register, and from there have the patient call in an order to a dispensary to arrange for delivery. However, now a days, depending on your location and what dispensary you use, there are some cases where patients can order their deliveries online after obtaining a legal recommendation and medical card from an authorized facility and going in person to a dispensary to enroll by showing your identification. Remember that patients can only receive small amounts of product at a time.

As convenient as the delivery options is, there may be some advantages to actually stepping foot inside a dispensary if it’s feasible to see the treatment options in person to have a trained staff member explain the differences between products. And with the law changing and expanding, it’s likely that additional products may be available at some point in the future.

    1. Hi Gary- What state do you live in? You need to be a Florida resident (or at least live in Florida for at least 31 days) to get a Florida Card.
