Does health insurance cover medical marijuana?
Judge Ingrid L. French, a state administrative law judge from New Jersey, ruled that a resident’s insurance company had to cover the costs of medical marijuana (source: healthcure.co). Since the voters approved medical marijuana, she felt that marijuana in this case was in fact medical and it was a better solution than opioids. Whether this will be a precedent for other cases is unknown, but certainly something to watch. As of now, insurance does not cover medical marijuana.
Medical Marijuana and NFL players
NFL player Mike James continues to fight in support of medical marijuana. James, who was anti-drugs prior to his NFL injuries, has found that Medial marijuana relieves the pain. Originally, he was prescribed opioids, and developed a dependence that also made him sick. Medical marijuana was able to make him feel better and improve his quality of life . Is medical marijuana approved in the NFL? No. He is requesting that the NFL provides him with an exception to use the drug, given he will test positive on their drug tests. He says the injury rate in the NFL is 100% and player are much more likely to develop opioid addictions. Hopefully, he makes progress with the NFL rules soon.

Lack of sleep costs countries billions. Between 20 and 30 percent (up to 45% sometimes) of the population in Western cultures doesn’t get enough sleep. Lack of good sleep can result in attention issues, irritability, depression, memory problems and more. Additional physical ailments can become a result too. When thinking about the financial implications, medical costs and productivity loss can add up to billions of dollars in losses. Could medical marijuana be a solution to growing sleep problems? I truly hope that smokeable Marijuana becomes legal before I leave this earth. I am 68 years old and I have Fibromyaliga and in pain all the time. It’s been about 21 years now since I started on prescription pain med’s. Now the law is that you can only have so many miligrams a month. Well is the government thinking of the poor unfortunate people who are in pain ? No, I guess not. I’m sure if they had to experience the pain we go through, maybe they would think twice. I’m pretty sure they are cracking down is because of the people who are abusing drugs and getting them illegally. If they would legalize Marijuana people wouldn’t have to get them off the streets. It is dangerous. Anyway back to the subject, please, please, please LEGALIZE SMOKEABLE MARIJUANA.
