Where to find River Valley Relief
Our story
River Valley Relief emerged from personal tragedy and a mission to help Arkansas families affected by the opioid epidemic. Founded by Storm Nolan after his mother Toni Whitt passed away from an opioid overdose in 2013, the company received its cultivation license in July 2020 as one of only eight permitted cultivators in Arkansas. The family-owned operation launched its 25,000-square-foot cultivation facility in Fort Smith, strategically located near the Arkansas-Oklahoma border. After extensive planning and development, River Valley Relief brought its first cannabis products to market in early 2022, becoming the first among the second wave of licensed cultivators to reach dispensary shelves. The company quickly expanded beyond flower cultivation, launching their Relief by RVR concentrate line in April 2022 and securing an exclusive Arkansas partnership with Wana Brands for premium gummies. In July 2022, Ryan Kenaga, an Arkansas native with multi-state industry experience, was promoted to President, leading the company's continued growth and commitment to serving Arkansas medical cannabis patients.
About
River Valley Relief operates as one of eight licensed cannabis cultivators in Arkansas, serving the state's nearly 79,000 medical marijuana patients from their Fort Smith facility. The operation employs approximately 20 people with plans to expand to 50 employees, focusing on premium cannabis cultivation in their state-of-the-art facility.Their product portfolio includes hand-finished flower strains, live resin concentrates under the Relief by RVR brand, and an extensive edibles line. As Wana Brands' exclusive Arkansas manufacturing partner, River Valley Relief produces 15,000-20,000 gummies daily, offering various formulations including hybrid, indica, sativa, and CBD-dominant options. The company distinguishes itself by including the top three terpenes on each strain's packaging, emphasizing terpene profiles over simply high THC content. Their flower varieties include popular strains like Divinity 35, Banjo, Creamsicle, and their signature River Valley OG Kush. Quality control measures include attention to detail throughout cultivation, processing, and packaging, with products distributed to dispensaries across Arkansas.
