Our story

Enliven Edibles emerged from the vision of Allison Dries, a former Caterpillar chemical engineer who traded lab coats for cannabis kitchens in 2020. As co-founder of Krown LLC, Illinois's first licensed cannabis infusion company, Dries applied for her social equity license in March 2020—ironically the same week the world shut down due to COVID-19.After navigating pandemic delays and regulatory hurdles, Krown received their infusion license in August 2021 and opened their state-of-the-art 13,000-square-foot facility in Pekin, Illinois in October 2022. This marked a historic milestone as Illinois's first operational cannabis infusion business.Enliven products launched in May 2023, initially featuring three beloved cookie flavors developed in Dries's home kitchen. The brand quickly expanded into innovative cereal bars and other edibles that stand out in Illinois dispensaries. As a woman-owned, veteran-owned, and social equity business, Enliven represents the new generation of Illinois cannabis companies—ones built on community values, scientific precision, and the belief that cannabis can truly enliven people's lives.
