BirthJays was born from the creative mind of Michael Scherr, a former touring musician and entertainer who traded his rock-star lifestyle for entrepreneurship. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Babson College's entrepreneurial MBA program, Scherr founded Higher Celebrations in 2019 with a simple yet brilliant idea: what if you could put a candle on a joint?In May 2019, Higher Celebrations launched BirthJays as the world's first pre-rolled joint birthday candle. The development process was meticulous, requiring 10-15 iterations to perfect the plastic candle tip that sits securely on the cone without tearing or falling off. Quality was paramount - the colorfully striped cones are made with rice paper and food-grade soy ink, ensuring they're safe to smoke.The brand gained massive traction through celebrity partnerships, most notably with cannabis icon Tommy Chong in 2021. Thanks to viral videos featuring Snoop Dogg and Jason Mewes, Scherr sold over 3,000 packs without spending a cent on advertising. Today, BirthJays operates under Aria Brands, continuing to expand across multiple states and bringing joy to adult celebrations nationwide.
