Our story

AMP (Atlantic Medicinal Partners) was born from a leap of faith in December 2017 when three Massachusetts entrepreneurs—brothers Stephen and Jeff Perkins, along with their longtime friend Frank Cieri—decided to jump into the emerging cannabis industry right after voters approved Question Four legalizing recreational marijuana. Coming from backgrounds as small business owners in other industries, they saw an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in cannabis. The company opened its first recreational dispensary in Fitchburg in September 2020, becoming the city's second adult-use retailer. What makes their story unique is their choice of location—a former LEGO manufacturing plant that they transformed into a state-of-the-art 50,000 square foot cannabis facility. Fitchburg welcomed them with open arms as the city sought new industry after losing its plastic manufacturing base.Since then, AMP has expanded to three locations across Massachusetts—Fitchburg, Salem, and Brockton—each designed to reflect the character of its local community while maintaining their commitment to locally grown, premium cannabis. Their vertical integration means they control every step from seed to sale, ensuring consistent quality and freshness.
