Theory Wellness is an East Coast cannabis company that grows, extracts and manufactures its own products and sells them through dispensaries in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Jersey and Ohio; 11 of its stores are listed in this directory. It describes itself as the largest employee-owned cannabis company in the country. Its focus is small-batch flower grown indoors from its own genetics, along with house-made concentrates, edibles and infused products, and it also produces the Hi5 line of cannabis-infused seltzers.

Most locations are adult-use stores open to anyone 21 or older with a valid government ID, and out-of-state IDs are accepted in Massachusetts and Maine. Payment is by cash or debit, as credit cards are not accepted. Some locations, such as Trenton, New Jersey, also serve medical patients. Stores tend to sit along highways or in busy retail areas; the Kittery, Maine shop, for example, is in the outlet village a short drive from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The company runs a rewards program for returning customers.
