Yellowstone National Park Deals, Promos & Hours

Yellowstone is federal land, and cannabis is illegal anywhere in the park under federal law, including in vehicles and campgrounds. Most of the park is also in Wyoming, where cannabis is illegal under state law too.

Wyoming, which holds most of Yellowstone and several of its entrances, does not allow cannabis at all, so the Montana side of the park, around the west and north entrances, is where visitors can buy. Stores there are few and far between, so plan the stop before you head into the park.

The deals below come from stores within about forty-five miles of West Yellowstone and are refreshed daily. Montana sells to adults 21 and over with a valid ID, out-of-state visitors included. What you buy has to stay out of the park: Yellowstone is federal land, rangers enforce federal law, and carrying cannabis into Wyoming or Idaho is illegal. Use it at your lodging in Montana, and do not drive after consuming on the long roads in and out of the park.

• West Yellowstone is at the park’s west entrance, and Gardiner is at the north entrance.
• US-191 runs north from West Yellowstone through the Gallatin Canyon toward Big Sky and Bozeman.
• Do not bring cannabis into the park or across the state line into Wyoming or Idaho.
• Do not drive after consuming. Montana treats cannabis impairment like alcohol.
