Despite the challenges of winter construction in Erie, the team built their state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot facility.Led by entrepreneur Samuel "Pat" Black III, who previously built the largest biodiesel plant in the Northeastern United States, Calypso maintains an "Erie-first" mentality, prioritizing local hiring and sourcing from their community. The company commits to donating 10 percent of net profits to established charitable organizations, reflecting their community-focused values.
