Bonsai Buds

Bonsai Buds LLC emerged from the vision of President Gashy Dowlatshahi, a successful Rhode Island entrepreneur with deep roots in construction and business development spanning over 35 years. After building approximately 500-600 residential homes and establishing Banner Jewelry Company in the 1980s, Dowlatshahi brought his commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction into the cannabis industry. The company established itself as a Class A Medical/Recreational Cannabis cultivation, manufacturing and processing center in Exeter, Rhode Island, entering the market during Rhode Island's early cannabis legalization period. Led by CEO Jason Calderon, Bonsai Buds has positioned itself as a key player in Rhode Island's cannabis landscape, navigating the state's evolving regulatory framework while maintaining focus on quality production. The brand name reflects their philosophy - just as bonsai trees require patience, attention, and skilled cultivation to achieve perfection in miniature form, Bonsai Buds applies the same meticulous care to cannabis cultivation. This approach has established them as a trusted supplier to multiple Rhode Island dispensaries and positioned them for growth as the state expands cannabis licensing.
