First smoking, now edibles- Florida’s Medical Marijuana Program Taking Big Steps
With medical marijuana smoking in Florida being allowed for the past month or so and Florida medical marijuana dispensaries ramping up production, word is now coming that edibles may soon be for sale at licensed locations throughout the state.
WMFE is reporting that the state has finalized its rules on the licensing and distribution of edibles. Clearly, only the licensed MMTCs, or dispensaries as they are called in Florida, are allowed to produce edibles. The station says that Hollie Bell wants to ensure safety from food poisoning and allergens.
Although the delays have been frustrating for some patients, we need to make sure that products are controlled, safe, and not enticing to children.
Hopefully, we see products on the shelves soon!
